WUNC Broadcast Engineering Tech
North Carolina Public Radio WUNC, Chapel Hill
North Carolina Public Radio - WUNC is hiring a Technology Support Technician. This position reports to the Director of IT and Engineering.
WUNC Radio provides quality news, information and entertainment programming to a broad listening audience that includes North Carolina, the United States and the world. WUNC serves North Carolinians from Greensboro to the Outer Banks through a network of ten stations.
This position will perform audio engineering at WUNC remote events, including Public Address systems, recorded events (mixer to recording device) and assistance for live remote broadcasts. In house, there will be computer desktop support. There may be some in-studio broadcast work as well.
The ideal candidate will also possess the following:
- Experience with audio, live (spoken word) sound.
- Experience with remote audio set-up.
- Experience with computer desktop support.
- Experience with Audio over IP (AoIP)
Candidates must be able to move up to 50 lbs., as well as ascend/descend stairs (and possibly ladders), with or without accommodation. Driving to offsite locations for live sound/recording is required.
